Project ObelixProject Obelix
OTR desarrolló, junto con RTIO, Michelin, Titan-Yuxiang y la Universidad de Transporte de Shanghái, un rin de menor peso para el camión minero Komatsu 930E-4. El objetivo: reducir el peso del rin y permitir mayor presión de inflado y mayor carga útil. OTR developed a lighter-weight wheel for the Komatsu 930E-4 mining truck, in conjunction with RTIO, Michelin, Titan-Yuxiang and Shanghai Transport University. The goal: reduce wheel weight and enable higher inflation pressures and greater payload.
El diseño resultante ya opera en las faenas de Pilbara (Australia) y Mongolia. El rin OTR que distribuimos en América Latina es el mismo producto de este desarrollo — no una versión regional distinta. The resulting design is already in service across the Pilbara (Australia) and Mongolia operations. The OTR wheel we distribute across Latin America is the same product that came out of this development — not a separate regional version.
